This variety can be eaten raw or lightly steamed. Has attractive purple spears and reliably good yields. As a hardy perennial plant, it’s ideal for the kitchen garden, just needs a full sun position. It heights up to 150cm (59in) and spreads up to 45cm (18in).

Guelph Eclipse

An early season hybrid with exceptional yields in the first years of harvest and spear quality. The spear quality is exceptional with a diameter of medium-large thickness. Initially bred to produce green asparagus, Guelph Eclipse is also now being used for white spear production.

Pacific Purple Asparagus

Pacific Purple

A high quality purple variety with extremely sweet flavour. It’s a hybrid plant, so performs well in warm climates. The tips of the Pacific Purple spears remain tight at heights of 25-30cm, meaning that the percentage of first class product is very high.

The variety comes from Canadian breeding, which makes it particularly cold tolerant. It produces high yields and needs to be supplied as 1 year old crowns. The plant size is: height up to 150cm (59.1in) and spread - 45cm (17.7in). Its position needs to be in full sun and it’s ideal for kitchen gardens.

Greenic Asparagus

Greenic

A hardy perennial variety, early to crop with quality, tight headed spears. The number of spears per crown is extremely high and they have an excellent colour. Needs to be placed in full sun position.
